Thank you for supporting Red Feather Farm. We are a small family farm in Myakka City, Florida, and many of our products are seasonal, availability-based, or tied to live animals. These policies help keep expectations clear, protect the health of our animals, and make pickup, scheduling, and ordering smoother for everyone.

    We do our best to respond as quickly as possible, but Red Feather Farm is a family farm, not a full-time retail storefront. Please allow reasonable time for a response, especially during busy farm or family days.

  • Red Feather Farm is located in Myakka City, Florida. Farm visits and pickups are by appointment only.

    Please contact us before coming to the farm so we can confirm availability, prepare your order, and schedule a pickup time. For the safety of our family, customers, and animals, we do not accept unscheduled visits.

    We may be able to accommodate cash purchases by appointment, but products and animals cannot be held without a confirmed arrangement.

  • Animal health matters. To help protect our birds and other animals, we may limit access to animal areas and ask visitors to follow basic biosecurity steps during pickup or farm visits.

    Please do not visit if you have recently been around sick poultry or if your own flock is showing signs of illness. Depending on the situation, we may ask customers to stay in a designated pickup area rather than walking through animal areas.

  • Eating eggs are available by local pickup as supply allows. Availability can change with the season, weather, flock production, flock age, and current demand.

    Our poultry free range with grain supplement, and eggs are collected and washed daily. Because our eggs come from small flocks, egg size, shell color, and quantity may vary depending on the current laying flock.

    Eating eggs are sold for food use only. If you are looking for eggs to hatch, please select one of our hatching egg options instead.

    Egg sales are final once picked up. If Red Feather Farm is unable to fulfill an order, we will offer a refund, replacement, credit, or reschedule depending on the situation.

  • Hatching eggs may be available seasonally from select breeding groups. Availability depends on laying patterns, fertility, collection timing, breeding group setup, and current demand.

    We collect and handle hatching eggs with care. Eggs offered for hatching are selected based on desirable characteristics such as cleanliness, size, shell color, and age.

    Hatch rates are affected by many factors outside our control once eggs leave the farm, including transport, storage, incubator quality, temperature, humidity, turning, power outages, handling, and incubation experience. Because of this, hatch rates are not guaranteed once hatching eggs leave Red Feather Farm.

    Hatching eggs are sold for incubation, not eating. Hatching egg sales are final once picked up. If Red Feather Farm is unable to fulfill an order, we will offer a refund, replacement, credit, or reschedule depending on the situation.

  • Live poultry availability changes based on hatch schedules, breed availability, grow-out space, season, and our own flock plans.

    Live poultry is available for local pickup only by arrangement in Myakka City, Florida. We do not ship live birds.

    Young birds may be sold as straight run, cockerels, pullets, grow-outs, laying hens, or proven layers depending on age and availability. Please review the selected option carefully before checkout.

    Unless specifically stated in the listing, we do not guarantee sexing accuracy, future laying performance, temperament, final egg color, fertility, or long-term health outcomes.

    We do our best to offer healthy birds and accurate information at the time of sale. However, once birds leave Red Feather Farm, their transport, housing, care, integration, and long-term outcome are the buyer’s responsibility.

    Live-animal sales are final once birds leave the farm. If Red Feather Farm is unable to fulfill an order, we will offer a refund, replacement, credit, or reschedule depending on the situation.

  • Hatch & Brood Rentals are scheduled based on kit availability, egg availability, and current hatch timing.

    Rental customers are expected to follow the provided instructions, care for the equipment responsibly, and communicate with us if questions or problems come up during the rental period.

    We provide fertilized eggs and guidance, but hatch results can vary. Hatch rates are affected by handling, temperature, humidity, turning, power outages, equipment setup, and other factors. Because of this, hatch results are not guaranteed.

    Rental deposits apply toward a confirmed Hatch & Brood Rental. A deposit does not guarantee availability unless the rental window has been confirmed with Red Feather Farm.

    If Red Feather Farm is unable to fulfill a scheduled rental, we will offer a refund, credit, or reschedule depending on the situation.

  • Red Feather Farm takes pride in our poultry, eggs, rental kits, and farm products. We provide healthy animals, fresh products, and accurate information at the time of sale.

    Buyers are expected to inspect their purchase before taking it off the farm. This includes live birds, eggs, rental equipment, farm goods, or any other product being picked up. Please ask any questions before leaving so we can address concerns while the item or animal is still here.

    Once a purchase leaves Red Feather Farm, the sale is final and the item, animal, or product becomes the buyer’s responsibility.

    Refunds are not offered except in exceptional cases, such as Red Feather Farm being unable to fulfill an order or rental as agreed. In those cases, we may offer a refund, replacement, credit, or reschedule depending on the situation.

    We do not offer refunds for circumstances outside our control after pickup, including buyer handling, transport, housing, incubation setup, flock integration, weather, predator loss, illness after leaving the farm, change of mind, or failure to follow care instructions.

  • Most Red Feather Farm products are local pickup only unless shipping is clearly offered on a specific shop listing.

    We do not ship live poultry.

    If shipping becomes available for certain farm goods, shipping options, rates, and restrictions will be shown at checkout or on the product listing.
