Chicken Hatching Eggs

$12.00
sold out

Chicken hatching eggs may be available seasonally from select Red Feather Farm purebred breeding groups. These eggs are intended for customers who want to hatch chicks at home using their own incubator or broody hen.

Hatching eggs are typically available during the first third of the year, while supplies last. We prefer to free range our birds as much as possible, and breeding groups must be separated during hatching egg season to avoid mixing lines. For that reason, purebred hatching eggs are offered seasonally rather than year-round.

Use the selection menu to choose the breed currently available.

Black Copper Marans
Black Copper Marans are known for their deep chocolate-brown eggs and hardy, dual-purpose qualities. Hatching eggs from this group are a good option for customers looking to add dark egg genetics and classic Marans traits to their flock.

Easter Egger
Easter Eggers are popular backyard birds known for friendly personalities and the possibility of colorful eggs. Because Easter Eggers are mixed-type birds, egg color in future hens can vary and is not guaranteed.

Not every option will be available at all times. If an option is not shown or is marked sold out, it is not currently available.

Pickup & Current Availability

Hatching eggs are available for local pickup by arrangement in Myakka City, Florida.

Inventory is updated as carefully as possible, but hatching egg availability can change quickly based on laying patterns, fertility, collection timing, breeding group setup, and current demand. We may be able to accommodate cash purchases by appointment, but hatching eggs cannot be held without a confirmed arrangement.

Please contact us first if you have questions about breed availability, timing, quantities, pickup, or whether a specific breed is a good fit for your goals.

How We Select Hatching Eggs

We collect and handle hatching eggs with care. Eggs offered for hatching are selected based on desirable characteristics such as cleanliness, size, shell color, and age.

We do not offer farmyard mix hatching eggs. Red Feather Farm is moving toward a purebred hatching egg program so customers can better understand what they are hatching and what traits they may be adding to their flock.

A Note About Hatch Rates

At Red Feather Farm, we typically see hatch rates around 70–90%, depending on breed, season, egg condition, and incubation conditions. That said, each hatch can vary, and results may be very different from one setup to another.

Once hatching eggs leave the farm, hatch rates are affected by many factors outside our control, including transport, storage, incubator quality, temperature, humidity, turning, power outages, handling, and incubation experience.

Because of this, hatch rates are not guaranteed once eggs leave Red Feather Farm. We do our best to provide carefully selected hatching eggs, but each customer’s results will depend heavily on their own setup, equipment, and process.

Hatching eggs are sold for incubation, not eating. If you are looking for eggs for food use, please select our Fresh Eating Eggs instead.

Hatching egg sales are final once picked up. If Red Feather Farm is unable to fulfill an order, we will offer a refund, replacement, credit, or reschedule depending on the situation.
